Scholarships

Investing in Potential. Expanding Possibility.

At Humanity Investment Group, we believe that investing in people is one of the most meaningful ways to cultivate lasting change.

Our scholarship funds are designed to help reduce financial barriers, expand access to meaningful opportunities, and encourage lifelong growth. Whether supporting a young person's enrichment journey or investing in the professional development of restorative practitioners, each scholarship reflects our commitment to helping people flourish.

Because when people are given opportunities to grow, communities grow with them.

The Thomas A. Mabry YES Fund

Youth Enrichment Scholarship Fund

Every parent hopes to say "yes" when their child discovers something they love.

Whether it's joining a sports team, attending summer camp, exploring the arts, participating in a S.T.E.M. program, or pursuing another enriching opportunity, these experiences help children discover their gifts, build confidence, and develop skills that can last a lifetime.

Too often, however, financial barriers force families to say "no" - not because they lack belief in their child's potential, but because essential needs must come first.

The Thomas A. Mabry YES Fund was created to help change more of those moments from "no" to "yes."

The Thomas A. Mabry YES Fund is named in honor of Thomas A. Mabry, a Washington, D.C. philanthropist and one of Humanity Investment Group's earliest and most generous supporters. Thomas believes in investing in people and expanding opportunities for others. His generosity helped establish this fund, creating opportunities for more families to say "yes" to experiences that enrich the lives of their children.

Through the generosity of donors, grant partners, and community supporters, the YES Fund helps remove financial barriers so more young people can participate in meaningful enrichment experiences.

Because every "yes" has the potential to shape a future.

The rPD Scholarship Fund

Restorative Professional Development Scholarship Fund

Sometimes, the only thing standing between someone's desire to grow and their next opportunity is the cost of getting there.

The rPD Scholarship Fund was created in recognition of a reality many restorative practitioners, educators, leaders, and community members know all too well: the desire to continue learning often exceeds the financial resources available to do so.

At Humanity Investment Group, we've witnessed both sides of that experience. We've seen dedicated professionals reluctantly pass on conferences, trainings, certifications, and other valuable learning opportunities because the cost placed them out of reach. We've also witnessed the profound gratitude and renewed sense of possibility that comes when someone says, "We believe in your growth, and we'd like to help."

The rPD Scholarship Fund exists to help turn more of those moments of disappointment into moments of encouragement.

Whether supporting participation in conferences, professional trainings, certification programs, or other restorative learning experiences, this scholarship represents more than financial assistance. It is an investment in people whose continued growth strengthens classrooms, workplaces, organizations, and communities.

By investing in those who invest in others, the rPD Scholarship Fund helps cultivate a ripple effect of restoration that extends far beyond a single learning opportunity.
