The Grace Initiative

The Grace Initiative

Growth. Restoration. Accountability. Commitment. Empowerment.

One framework. Multiple pathways.

Life's challenges rarely exist in isolation. Emotional well-being, relationships, family circumstances, access to resources, community connection, and the ability to move forward are often deeply interconnected.

The GRACE Initiative is Humanity Investment Group's integrated restorative development and wellness initiative designed to create a more connected approach to supporting people as they navigate life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth.

GRACE combines restorative development experiences with pathways to services, resources, and professional supports that complement program participants’ individual journeys. Rather than assuming that every participant needs the same experience, the GRACE program creates opportunities for individuals and families to access support responsive to their circumstances, strengths, goals, and needs.

Growth. Restoration. Accountability. Commitment. Empowerment.

GRACE is grounded in five principles that shape the participant experience:

Growth

Developing greater awareness, knowledge, skills, and capacity while exploring new possibilities for moving forward.

Restoration

Creating opportunities for healing, reconnection, and reflection, while strengthening individual, relational, and community well-being.

Accountability

Building the capacity to recognize choices, understand impact, take meaningful responsibility, and identify constructive ways forward.

Commitment

Strengthening the habits, relationships, supports, and personal practices that help sustain progress beyond a single program or experience.

Empowerment

Supporting participants in recognizing their strengths, exercising agency, accessing resources, and making informed decisions about their lives and futures.

One Framework. Multiple Pathways.

GRACE is designed around a shared restorative framework while remaining responsive to the experiences, circumstances, and needs of the people and communities it serves.

Justice-involved Individuals

The Justice-Involved Individuals pathway supports adults and youth who are currently or formerly involved with the justice system through restorative development, accountability, skill development, and connections to supportive services and resources. The GRACE program can serve as a vital support to reentry, diversion, supervision, treatment, and other community-based efforts while helping participants strengthen the personal, relational, and practical resources that foster positive change and successful transitions.

Military Veterans

The Military Veterans pathway recognizes that transition, trauma, connection, and overall well-being can intersect in complex ways throughout and following military service.GRACE provides restorative opportunities for reflection and personal growth while creating pathways to appropriate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and other supportive resources.

Families

Challenges experienced by one person can affect an entire family system. The Families pathway creates opportunities for individual and collective growth by strengthening communication, coping strategies, accountability, connection, and access to supportive resources. When appropriate, GRACE experiences may engage children, parents, caregivers, and other members of the family system.

The GRACE Initiative does not promise that life's challenges will disappear. The goal is to help participants strengthen their capacity to navigate those challenges.
